Our Team Story
My wife Connie and I would like to invite you to join us for an event we are hosting on the "Longest Day" of the year, Friday, June 21st.
Our family has been affected by this disease for over 25 years, starting with a beloved grandmother. And currently, we have two members of our immediate family battling its effects -- It's the reason why we want to help fight this disease!
So this year, we're participating in The Longest Day, a fundraising event to advance the care, support and research efforts of the Alzheimer's Association. In this day of technology, we want to put our phones aside and have a night to play board games, enjoy conversation with friends and raise money for a wonderful cause!
The event is on the summer solstice, Friday, June 21st at the Hibernian Club, in south Akron. Did you know that there are 5 hours and 50 minutes more daylight on the summer solstice than on the winter solstice, December 21st? To honor that, the event starts at 5:50 pm. and will go for 5 hours and 50 minutes...okay, maybe we won't be there that long! But it's designed to be an Open House -- so feel free to come at any time that evening to play some games, enjoy some food and spend time with friends.
