is fundraising to honor:
Her mom, Julie
to fight Alzheimer's
The Longest Day is the day of the year with the most light — June 21, the summer solstice. It's also the day I have committed to fight Alzheimer's disease. For the second year in a row, I’m participating in The Longest Day, a fundraising event to advance the care, support and research efforts of the Alzheimer's Association.
Today, an estimated 50 million people worldwide are living with Alzheimer's or other dementias, including more than 5 million Americans. In the United States alone, 16 million friends and family members are providing their care. Until my mother's death from Alzheimer's disease on May 29, 2018, I was one of those caregivers.
Join me on June 21 for my Longest Day fundraiser, Thumbs Down to Alzheimer's. I will be baking and selling my award-winning Double Cherry Thumbprint cookies. Only $10 for a baker's dozen! In addition to the original recipe, I am baking nut-free cookies with chocolate chunks! Stop by on June 21 to pick them up, or arrange delivery. Donate here, then send me an email (email@example.com) to tell me what you'd like. All of the donations received will be donated to the Alzheimer's Association. Last year's Baking Whoopie was a phenomenal success, and I hope to raise even more to fight Alzheimer's disease on June 21.
Stand up to the darkness of Alzheimer’s and make a donation today to help the Alzheimer's Association support all those facing the disease. Thank you!
