is fundraising to honor:
all those facing Alzheimer's
On June 21, I'm doing what I love, crafting cards for my team to send to legislators, to honor those affected by Alzheimer’s disease. I’m participating in The Longest Day, a fundraising event to advance the care, support and research efforts of the Alzheimer's Association. I'll be crafting in my craft room from sun-up to sun-down with my great niece and other family members who may stop by to help out.
Although I haven't been touched personally by Alzheimer's, I advocate to help the Alzheimer's Association find a cure so that my 13 great nieces and nephews will not have this devastating disease in their future.
Today, over 35 million people across the world are living with Alzheimer's, including more than 5 million Americans. In the U.S. alone, more than 15 million caregivers generously dedicate themselves to those with Alzheimer's and dementia. We must take action now, or these numbers will continue to rise.
Together, we can show those facing Alzheimer's disease that they are not alone. Please make a donation today to help the Alzheimer's Association support all those facing the disease. The first survivor of Alzheimer’s is out there but we won’t get there without you! Thank you! #EndAlz #TheLongestDay
