is fundraising to honor:
Families affected by ALZ
to fight Alzheimer's
My grandfather showed early signs of Alzheimer's before he passed away from a heart attack. In some ways, the family was relieved he passed quickly in the night. Up until that time, he was showing increasing signs of confusion, like getting lost on his way to run a routine errand.
In working within senior services, I have come to see firsthand the reality of Alzheimer's and other forms of dementia. Needs become greater, and highly personal. Personalities may change. And, physical and emotional stress can take a toll on the extended family.
I support the work of the Alzheimer's Association because I see the people who are helped dramatically by free programs, services, education, and advocacy here in south central Wisconsin.
I ask you to join me this June for a fun event in my neighborhood, a family fun walk/run in Sun Prairie, WI. This event is free to participate. Kwik Trip cinnamon rolls will be available. Donations will be accepted for the Alzheimer's Association with the chance to win raffle prizes donated by area businesses.
The 5K walk/run will begin at 8:30 am on Saturday, June 8th at Fox Point Park pavilion in Sun Prairie. For more information, email email@example.com.
If you are unable to attend, but still wish to donate, click on the link here. Thank you for your support! The day with the most light, the summer solstice, is the day we fight to end Alzheimer's!
