Last Saturday we had a lovely memorial celebration for Susan at Meadowlark Gardens in Vienna, VA. It was hard to capture all of her qualities or all of the many wonderful things she did, but as a family we did a good job to honor her memory. It was a beautiful day and a beautiful setting. We were fortunate to be surrounded by so many close friends. We also had an excellent guest speaker, Ann Deschamps, who spoke about mindfulness, being present in the moment and how short life is so don't waste a moment. The world has lost a wonderful person.
In honor of Susan we have set a donation page linked directly to the Alzheimer’s Association -The Longest Day - and in lieu of flowers and gifts we are asking for donations to this worthy cause. I know I have asked for donations several times in the past and many of you have given generously. If you have not donated in the past now is a perfect time. If you have donated a lot you are excused and your only job is to keep Susan in your heart. If you cannot access the site you can go directly to the page at this address http://act.alz.org/goto/TomCox.
