My Story

Lake Tahoe Yoga director, Jenay, is a skilled teacher of the practice. One of her first experiences teaching was as a substitute for a friend who taught at a senior facility. Many of the participants were dealing with the effects of Alzeheimer's. As a new teacher, the experience opened Jenay's eyes to the struggles that face all of us as we age.

Today, Jenay continues to guide seniors in the practice of Yoga. She travels to Carson City on a weekly basis to teach at two separate facilities providing care to adults over 80 years of age. Her experience early on informed her as to how Yoga can benefit all of us. By continuing to share the practice with those changed by Alzheimer's she strengthens her skills as a teacher, and continues to develop empathy for all of us as we age.

The movements included in Yoga practices can slow the effects of Alzheimer's. Join the practice at Lake Tahoe Yoga and benefit yourself as well as those effected by Alzheimer's.
