Fundraising Honor Roll

My law firm, Saul Ewing Arnstein & Lehr has a longstanding commitment to fighting Alzheimers, and we regularly commit dancers to this important event, including Swata Ghandi who danced in 2019.  This year, I am excited to continue that tradition and our firm’s longstanding commitment to fighting memory-related disease.

I am dancing for several people impacted by memory-related disease, as well as the surviving friends and family members who have suffered substantially as a result.  My grandmother, Marie Johnson, who was like a second mother to me and provided a second home to me in her rowhome in Highlandtown, suffered dementia before she died.  My grandmother-in-law, Rhoda Boucher, suffered dementia in her later years, and my wife Emily and I lived with her and Emily’s parents to assist with her care.

I am also Dancing in memory of  Mr. Nick Tsakalos and his parents.  Mr. Nick was my brother’s godfather, his wife Jeanne is a friend of my mother’s and my Sunday School teacher, and I grew up at Annunciation Cathedral with their  sons, Christopher and Michael.  Mr. Nick developed Lewy Body Dementia at a young age and his parents suffered Alzheimer’s—all of which greatly impacted the family tremendously, as well as their friends and our close-knit Greek-American community here in Baltimore.

Thank you for joining our movement! The end of Alzheimer's disease starts here.
