2023 Dancing Stars of Atlanta

Maryam is an Iranian-American, native to Atlanta since 1986, Emory Graduate with an RN-BSN-MPH, and active resident in the Buckhead community. Her family of 4 are her every day reasons - David (husband of 18 years), Cameron (8 - 3rd Grader) and Hannah (6 - K5). Since graduating, she has been active in both fields of Healthcare & Real Estate. Currently, an active realtor with Berkshire Hathaway Georgia Properties for 21 years and in the Top 2% Globally for the performing years 2021-2022 and a licensed Registered Nurse in Georgia having worked multiple years as a front-line Emergency Room and Executive Healthcare Clinician with 2 Fortune 500 companies. 

Alzheimer's has been a disease she has witnessed far too many times with multiple patients, family members and friends. When this people servant opportunity came to the table, all the faces and stories of these people surfaced and she couldn't say no. Maryam is also a fierce competitor and fitness has always been a huge part of her life from her Speed Skating, Rowing (Crew) and Distance Running years of her youth to her current year-round avid marathon running as an adult (16 marathons completed to date - Athens 2022 in November!). 

Not having ever taken a professional dance class in her life, always being pulled to dance at many of Iranian celebrations/parties and saying no, she is hoping to come out of her comfort zone and put it all out there come May 6 for such an amazing cause! Every dollar adds up, so, there is no such thing as a contribution not being enough.
