2023 Dancing Stars of Atlanta

Joey Butler, the proud mother of two incredible children – Sophia Jayd and Boden Yorke – is an

interior designer and jewelry designer who resides in Atlanta, Georgia and is the acclaimed

author of A Marvelous Life... is where you are headed, written for and inspired by her

daughter.

As an advocate for children, Joey serves on the board of Children Helping Children, an

organization dedicated to the education and empowerment of families and children. She spends

most of her time with family and friends, traveling, creating, enjoying the outdoors and

exercising with her beloved black lab, Sydney. She is an inspiration to others to lead a

marvelous, joyful, reflective, adventurous and brave life!

Joey comes from a family that has taught her to give of herself and her time working in service

to her community. As a part of her commitment to living a life of appreciation and giving, Joey

is dancing in honor of her Grandparents Popie and Nina, who were both afflicted with

Alzheimer’s disease. One of her favorite quotes from her book is: “Don’t ever let fear win!

Never trust your fears; they don’t know how strong you really are!” And so, despite having no

formal dance training, it is in this spirit that Joey will be out there on the dance floor!
