My name is Torrey Wiley and I’m absolutely thrilled to be participating in the 2020 Dancing Stars of Columbus! I was born in St. Louis, Missouri. I lived most of my younger years overseas in Germany while my father served as an officer in the US Army. He retired from the Army here in Columbus, GA in 1992. I graduated from Hardaway High School in 1993 and from Columbus State University in 1997 where I received a Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Science.
I was fortunate to be offered a job with Pfizer Pharmaceuticals in November of 1997. I have worked with Pfizer for 22 years as a Senior Pharmaceutical Sales Representative. During this time, I have enjoyed helping patients by working alongside the physicians and staff in our healthcare community. I live in Columbus with my wife, Laura, and our children, Forest (6) and Chandler (4). I enjoy traveling, music, running, and attending UGA football games.
Dancing has always been a part of my life. Growing up, my parents would gather with other military friends in the neighborhood to cookout and dance. Today, they are retired, still dance weekly, and travel with others to dances. While I may be no stranger to a dance floor, I certainly have no formal training. I look forward to showing off some dance moves and raising money for this amazing event to support the Georgia Alzheimer’s Association!
I have worked firsthand with doctors in our community who are on the frontline in treating this disease. Through them, I have seen the impact this disease can have on patients and their families. According to the National Alzheimer’s Association, “every 65 seconds someone in the United States develops the disease”. Let’s work together to bring this to an end. I am very appreciative for your donations, ticket sales, and support! Let’s Dance!!
