Hi!  My name is Linda Schoepf, my family has nicknamed me as the “Fun Master.”  You may call me by either name.

I was born in Boston, grew up mostly in sunny California with a few stops along the way in the Philadelphia, Atlanta and Greensboro, NC areas.  I have lived in Gwinnett County, GA for the last 23 years and recently moved to Lake Lanier in Flowery Branch.

I have been married to Byron for 21 years and we just recently became empty nesters, living with our 3-legged dog, Romo, and our new beautiful lake view.  We have two sons, Drew, 29 who is married to Royale and they lived locally with their new puppy, no grandkids yet.  Josh, 19 is a freshman at GA College in Milledgeville, where he is studying business and enjoying his newfound freedom from mom and dad!

Way back in 1990, I graduated from Cal State Long Beach and have worked in the health care administration field, art supplies industry and spent most of my career selling paper.  Yes, a lot like the show “The Office.”  Retiring from my sales career in the paper industry six years ago, allowed me to have a more flexible schedule to help support my husband’s growing business.  We currently own and operate 16 franchisees of Little Caesars pizza in the local area.

I am a social creature who enjoys spending time with family and friends, volunteering with several organizations, walking, yoga, lake activities and trying new things, which has led me to new and exciting adventure!

Wow, am I really doing this Dancing with the Stars thing?  It is a question I have asked myself for the last couple of weeks.  Well, yes, I am and for several reasons:

  1.  I love the TV show, Dancing with the Stars, I have been a fan since the beginning and have always said I would love to be on that show
  2. Most days, I do like a challenge to try things out of my comfort zone
  3. Ballroom lessons have been on my list of things to do for years
  4.  However, the most IMPORTANT reason for me stepping out my comfort zone is this type of disease has hit close to home for the last six to seven years for our family.  My father-in-law, Andy, is currently in the final stages of battling vascular dementia.  As a family, we have witnessed his decline occur as his disease progresses and it is just heartbreaking to be on the sidelines, trying to help and support while he changes from week to week.

So, I am finally putting my middle school tap, jazz and cheerleading skills to the test and dusting off my old moves to help bring attention to this family of diseases, attempt to give back, raise funds and provide some “entertainment” for my family and friends in Andy’s honor. Oh, and hopefully lose 10lbs in the process!

Please consider supporting me with your prayers (no more back or brain injuries), your financial treasures (which I will be asking for over the next few months) and/or attending this fabulous event on May 2, 2020 to cheer me on to the mirror ball trophy.

Finally, I do welcome any and all fundraising and dance tips you may have, or you just may be subject to my “running man” dance moves on May 2nd.

Thanks for the taking the time to read my story and for considering how you may be able to help.
