Hello! I’m Morgan Crolley. I’m 31 and I’ve called Savannah home for two years. Working in advertising at Savannah magazine has afforded me the opportunity to meet and develop relationships with countless wonderful people throughout our beautiful city. Recently, a co-worker reached out to our office, inquiring if anyone might be interested in participating in the Dancing Stars of Coastal Georgia fundraiser.
Her note spoke to me.
I typed “Yes” and hit send.
I’m neither a star nor a dancer—but this cause is one that’s very near and dear to my family and I.
My father, William Crolley, passed away on March 25, 2015, after a long battle with Alzheimer’s.
Anyone who met my dad in his earlier years got to know his vivacious personality, incredible intelligence, bold presence and contagious laugh. One of the hardest truths about this disease is its degenerative and unforgiving nature—day by day, the effects surface. Little by little, personality changes are exposed.
I watched firsthand the effects of Alzheimer’s. It is a heartbreaking, thief of a disease. For anyone who has been personally affected, we know that it is vital to raise awareness and work together to help people of today and tomorrow.
Join me in raising money and awareness and support my fight for increased dedication and research to end Alzheimer’s.
Thank you for being here… Let’s get started!
