Roger Lirette is an amazing artist from France. in 2009, roger was diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease, and in 2012, he deteriorated. even then, he was as physically active as a person in their 40's. He was so energetic that he could for many miles on end. In June he started to decline rapidly. The family was getting very worried. And then in November of 2012 he fell at home and was brought to the hospital; and from there he went into a nursing home. He wasn't eating much, but within a month he was back to his normal diet. He had good days and bad days but overall he still had a good quality of life. On February 2nd, we brought him to our house and he did very well. But later on he kept declining. In early March he wasn't able to walk anymore, he was rapidly declining. He stopped eating in mid-March and became very lethargic. That was the time we had to tell him that he could leave us. We put him on Hospice so that he could go peacefully. On March 30, 2013 he passed away in his sleep at 10:30pm. Now we know that he is in a better place. He meant the world to us and no words can ever describe how much he will be missed.
