Frances served her family and her community.
Orlinda "Orla" Frances Faini, formerly of Wenatchee, Washington, died on October 27, 2022 at the family home in Edgewood, WA after suffering more than 12 years with dementia. She always looked out for what others might need, describing herself as a "giver" first and foremost.
Frances was the loving Mother of 7 children, Grandmother of 12; she had 2 Great Grandchildren that the disease never let her hug or tell them how special they are.
Frances was a US Army veteran, later serving in the Reserves and National Guard. She was a teacher aide for migrant Hispanic youth in Moses Lake, WA and later became the Migrant Program home liaison for the Eastmont School District in East Wenatchee, WA. She initiated ESL classes for the parents of her family clients and was the inspiration for the Full Immersion Spanish Institute to teach Spanish to teachers, agency staff and police officers to help them be more effective in helping migrant youth. This program continues to be offered with her husband, Raymond, as Director.
