Patricia A. Bentley was born in 1936. She married Edward Bentley in 1955 and together they raised three children (Cheryl, Lori, Lisa and Craig.) Patricia was a vibrant woman who was deeply devoted to her husband and family. She loved people and would often strike up conversations with strangers waiting in line at stores, events or anywhere in public. It was troubling when her husband first noticed that she was having difficulties remembering specific words and her impeccable spelling started to decline. After being diagnosed, Patricia fought back, but gradually lost her ability to have those conversations. After struggled for nine years, she lost her battle on May 5, 2021 at the age of 85. Edward, her husband of 65 years, cared for her at home until the very end. Sadly, Patricia's story is not unique, as Alzheimer's and dementia have affected so many individuals and families, including Patricia's own mother. The work that the Alzheimer's Association supports is very important and impactful. Please consider a donation of any amount in Patricia's name, so that one day individuals and their families will no longer have to experience the pain that all forms of dementia bring.
