My Mom, Shirley Schriftman developed Alzheimer's in 2007 and died in 2009. She was a great Mom who raised four sons. With good planning I was able to keep her at home until she died. I had wonderful care for her from her personal live in companion Nora who I refer to as my sister.
In her younger years, Mom would watch me run all the marathons in Philadelphia. She used to hand out water on Kelly Drive.
In tribute to Mom, I wrote, My Million Dollar Mom.
