My mother Dorothy was a devoted wife and mother of three. She lead an active and healthy life until contracting this horrible disease later in her life.
Dorothy struggled to understand what was happening to her mind. She would hold her head in her hands and ask "Why can't I remember anything" and "How can we get this fixed". It was heartbreaking to tell her that she had Alzheimers disease and that there was no cure.
