David Slater, beloved husband, father and gramps, brought joy and extended a helping hand to many. He spent his formative years in Dorchester, MA before volunteering for the Army at the start of the Vietnam War. Upon finishing his military service, his experience and training in electronics repair ultimately led David to pursue a career in technology, where he got his start repairing early mainframe computers for IBM and later Memorex, where he would spend almost twenty years, rising to senior management.
David was diagnosed with Alzheimer's in 2012 and passed away on June 29, 2015. He will be remembered for his gentle nature, kindness, a quick (if corny) sense of humor, and most of all the "Pride and Joy" he shared with everyone he met.
