I lost my Dad to complications from Alzheimer's in February of this year and I'm asking for contributions to help the Alzheimer's Association find a cure for this disease. I decided to run the Chicago Marathon this year in honor of my Dad and my mission is to raise $100 for each mile for the Alzheimer's Association. My overall goal is to raise $2,620 and create awareness of this disease that took my Dad's life.

God had mercy on my Dad as he only suffered with the later stages of the disease for a about six months, but many people suffer from Alzheimer's for years. This is just as hard on family and friends as it is on the people suffering. Your donations will go toward research to help prevent the disease as well as provide support for family and friends of those who suffer.

My Dad was a great man and I miss him dearly. Not a day goes by that I don't think of him and all the happy memories of my special time with my Dad. I'm asking for everyone to remember all of the happy memories of your time with my Dad and please share them with me as I train for the Marathon over the next few months. Your stories and happy memories will give me the strength I need to make this a special run for my Dad. If you never knew my Dad I can tell you he was a great and loving man that touched many people. Thank you for taking the time to remember my Dad and thank you for your generous donations. I realize that economic times are tough on many so please don't feel obligated and whether you can make a contribution or not please take a moment to sign the Guest Book.

Thank you for your help and support.

In Memory of my Dad Donald L. Stewart
