Rene, as she was known, was the loving wife of Peter, and mother of three children: Janis, St.John, and Benjamin. She and her husband Peter were married for 64 years. About 7 years ago, she began to show the early signs of Alzheimer's disease and passed away on 16 December 2013.
She was a loving and charitable soul, and a truly wonderful mother and wife. Despite her sad decline into the abyss of Alzheimer's, she always remained a sweet and gentle person. I have no doubt that if any part of her retained a sense of awareness, that her love for us all still burned bright.
