Aida Fernandez (née Marcano), 72, of Vieques, Puerto Rico, died quietly in Lima, Pennsylvania, on July 23, 2022. Aida resided on St. Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands, from 1970 to 2015, and worked at a variety of local businesses, including Vieques Air Link, Mini World, Growing Children, People's Drug Store, and Golden Rock Pharmacy. Aida was a caring mother, friend, and avid reader. She enjoyed having pets, traveling to the beach, and dressing up for the casino.
Survivors include her sons: Ambrose "Junie" Fernandez Jr., and Adrian Fernandez; grandchildren: Luis Miguel, Thalia, Tony, Adriana, and Angel and great-grandchild: Anaiah.
The family would like to thank everyone who helped her in her final days at Fair Acres and Compassionate Care Hospice. Her sons would also like to thank her daughter-in-law Yanira Fernandez for her unwavering support, especially during Aida's last months.
