Former Michigan resident Marilyn L. Jones, 83, died May 23, 2020 at a personal care home near her current home in Houston, Texas. She will be buried with her husband, Merwyn L. Jones, at the Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly, MI. Due to corona virus concerns, no service will be held.
Marilyn was born January 30, 1937, in Detroit Michigan, to Cecil and Vera Bledsoe. Marilyn studied dance and piano throughout her child hood, and embarked on a career in show business upon graduating highschool. In 1959 she met Merwyn "Lucky" Jones and settled into domestic life, having and raising two sons.
She moved several times following her husband's career, living in Michigan, Illinois, and Ohio, finally settling down in Tomball, Texas to live with her son upon the death of her husband in 2014.
While raising her son's she worked as office help and administrative assistant, eventually working for the Michigan Association of CPAs editing their magazine and new letters, and for the Piqua improvement Corporation in Piqua Ohio. She is survived by Sons, Scott and Rodger Jones, 4 grandchildren and siblings Robert Bledsoe and Doris Lucitte.
