Our mom and dad both struggled with Alzheimers in the last years of their life. Dad died in 2022 and mom just recently in 2024. This disease can slowly destroy all the daily routines we would consider normal, but their "new" normal, although requiring adjustments, was a precious time. We thank God for those last years that we were able to care for and love them as they had loved us for so many years.
