Lorraine fought long and hard against this devastating disease. She lived with Alzheimer's for more than 15 years, thanks to the support of her loving family, her dedicated caregivers and her desire to live.

Lorraine was born in Worcester, Massachusetts, the only daughter of the late Louis G. Kropp and Hedvig E. (Christenson) Kropp. She attended Worcester Girls Trade School and later met a very handsome fella by the name of Lloyd G. Chamberlain who she married in 1951. They made their home in Shrewsbury, MA where they raised their family with love, faith and happiness until he passed in 1998.

Lorraine was first, a devoted wife, mother and grandmother to her family. She held various jobs while her children were younger including being a proud business owner of her own restaurant, The Queens Kitchen in Marlborough, MA.

At a very young age, Lorraine appreciated music and was a self -taught guitar player in which she won a local music competition and was heard on the local radio station as the winner. Lorraine loved her "Sweets" a day never started properly until she satisfied her sweet tooth even before her coffee!! Later in life she enjoyed arts, crafts, dancing, Keno and traveling with her family and of course never missed an opportunity to go to the casino!

She just loved life... She will be deeply missed, but will remain cherished to those she knew and loved.

We hope that we will witness the first survivor of a disease that has affected so many in profound ways. We love you, Sweet Lorraine!
