My beautiful loving mother was diagnosed with Alzheimer's at the age of 64. Alzheimer's is such a horrible slow death that robbed years from my mothers life. Yvonne went home to be with the Lord after a 10 yr battle but even at the end of her life was able to say her 3 favorite words, "I love you". She was involved in 2 study medications through UCLA in the hopes that others would not have to suffer from the terrible illness. Thank you for your help in finding a cure for this terrible disease.

Your mom sounds like an extraordinary woman. Thank for sharing a small piece of her with all of us!
I just lost my beloved father to the same diseases. I cared for him in his home in Westlake. I recently moved to Camarillo Springs because there were too many memories in Westlake, some good and some extremely difficult to share.
I believe our parents are in a better place and I know one day we will be reunited. I feel so alone and lost right now but then I try to remember. "This too shall pass."
Thanks again for your brief story. It really uplifted me!
