That’s why I’m taking the field again this year with the Alzheimer's Association RivALZ, a nationwide women’s flag-football league created to advance the care, support, and research efforts of the Alzheimer's Association.
Over the last year, I have dedicated over 100 hours to practice, play, volunteer, and organize RivALZ events - including our signature game coming up on July 20th, 2019.
All the players may be opponents on the field, but when it comes to Alzheimer’s, we’re all on the same side. This is a disease that must be defeated and we need your help to do it.
I participate in honor of my grandmother Theresa Kelly, my namesake, who passed away due to Alzheimer's Disease. It is a horrible disease with no cure that steals away your loved ones, as far too many of us have experienced.
The Alzheimer's Association is the world’s leading voluntary health organization in Alzheimer’s care, support, and research - and all the funds I raise will go directly toward their efforts.
Any donation is appreciated to help me reach my goal - every little bit helps :)
