Finding a cure for Alzheimers is something I would like to see in my lifetime. As many of you know, I have played for the Blondes vs. Brunettes organization off and on since 2013, personally raising $10,000 for the cause. This year, I am participating as a volunteer raising money to find a cure.
Alzheimers hits close to home. My Grandmother Ruth Doyle has been living with this disease for 14 years. My grandmother has always had the sweetest personality, the best laugh and the most caring heart. It is difficult to see how this disease takes hold of your loved ones. Simple day to days tasks that we take for granted slowly fade away and those pieces that you once knew of your loved one become amazing memories.
This year I am hoping to personally raise $10,000 for the cause. But I can't do it alone.
Please support my participation in RivALZ, a flag football game and fundraising competition to help end Alzheimer’s. This is a disease that must be defeated and I need your help to do it. Your donation will advance the care, support and research efforts of the Alzheimer’s Association.
Thank you for helping us tackle this disease – win or lose, our true goal is a world without Alzheimer’s!
To eliminate Alzheimer's disease through the advancement of research; to provide and enhance care and support for all affected; and to reduce the risk of dementia through the promotion of brain health.
