Women are at the epicenter of the Alzheimer’s epidemic. Nearly two-thirds of the Americans living with Alzheimer’s – and more than 60 percent of Alzheimer’s and dementia caregivers – are women. It’s time to take action by taking the field! I’m suiting up and playing in memory of my Pop Pop Samuel Helton. He lived with Alzheimer’s for 7 years and went to heaven in 2009 at the age of 95! He was always my hero and now my angel. I am motivated and driven by him to help in the fight to find a cure.
Please support my participation in RivALZ, an all women’s flag football game and fundraising competition to help end Alzheimer’s. We may be opponents on the field, but when it comes to Alzheimer’s, we’re all on the same side. This is a disease that must be defeated and I need your help to do it. I want to promote awareness and raise funds so your donation in any amount will advance the care, support and research efforts of the Alzheimer’s Association.
THANK YOU for helping me tackle this disease – win or lose, the true goal is a world without Alzheimer’s!
To eliminate Alzheimer's disease through the advancement of research; to provide and enhance care and support for all affected; and to reduce the risk of dementia through the promotion of brain health.
