Lisa's 2021 Fundraising Page
Thanks for coming to my page. Last year's challenge was a highlight. The camaraderie, the physical challenge and the rugged terrain was unique and special. I was fueled by your donations and the people who have been affected by this disease. It is crazy to think that just 1 month after the 2020 Challenge, the world began to deal with the devastating impacts of the pandemic. Although 2020 has brought many challenges to our lives, the fight for Alzheimer’s stays consistent. In fact, I feel that this year brings a whole new level of meaning to the need for funding the fight against this disease.
In 2020, the Camel's Hump Challenge raised a total of $52,335! Thank you so much to those of you who supported me and the cause last year. Let's work together to surpass our goal this year of $60,000. Any amount, large or small, will go far in supporting this important cause.
Currently, more than 5 million Americans have Alzheimer's disease and that number is expected to grow to as many as 16 million by 2050. Our future is at risk and we must come together to change the course of this disease.
All funds raised benefit the Alzheimer's Association. The Vermont Chapter of the Alzheimer's Association provides education and support to all those facing Alzheimer’s and other dementias throughout our community, including those living with the disease, caregivers, health care professionals and families. They are also committed to advocating for the needs and rights of those facing Alzheimer’s disease and advancing critical research toward methods of treatment, prevention and, ultimately, a cure.
Thank you for joining the fight against Alzheimer’s disease!
