ABOUT THIS EVENT
For 13 years, A Ride to Remember has taken cyclists on a scenic 3-day, 252-mile journey through South Carolina, all to raise funds and awareness for the research, care and support efforts of the Alzheimer's Association. And in 2020, riders took A Ride to Remember to their neighborhoods, trails and homes during the first-ever Virtual Ride Challenge!
For our 13th annual event, we are offering the traditional 3-day Group Ride as well as a Virtual Challenge option—back by popular demand!
About the Group Ride
Registration Fee (non-refundable):
By March 1: $50 per rider (Early bird special!)
After March 1: $100 per rider
REGISTRATION IS CLOSED.
In addition to the registration fee, each rider is responsible for a fundraising a minimum of $750, which must be met by the time of event check-in in order to ride.
About the Virtual Challenge
From July 1 to July 31, ride 252 miles to raise funds and awareness for the fight to #ENDALZ! When and where you ride are up to you! If you spread your mileage out throughout the month, that’s just 8.13 miles each day. Whether you hit the road or spin indoors in the AC, be sure to track your miles to celebrate with us!

Event Schedule & Details
Every Virtual Challenge participant who reaches the recommended fundraising goal of $252 will receive our 2021 t-shirt! For Group Ride participants, the t-shirt is included in your registration fee. We also award special Hincapie cycling gear for reaching the following fundraising milestones. Learn more about fundraising.
- $750 earns the official RTR21 Hincapie jersey (your choice of race cut, club cut or sleeveless)
- $1,250 earns matching shorts or bibshorts (your choice)
- $1,750 earns matching cycling gloves
- $2,500 earns matching cycling vest
All Virtual Challenge participants who raise at least $252 by June 1 will receive their RTR21 t-shirt in the mail in June. T-shirts will continue to be mailed on a rolling basis as riders reach the $252 fundraising milestone.
For all participants who met fundraising milestones by the May deadline, gear will be available for pickup during early check in hours or at the event itself. The final deadline to earn incentive gear or other top fundraising prizes will be July 31, 2021. All Hincapie gear ordered after July 31 will be shipped to you in October 2021.
