My Personal Fundraising Page
In 2017, my plans to participate in the Ride to Remember were derailed by a distracted driver. In the last couple of years, I have wanted to complete my ride. However, I've had a hard time both physically and mentally getting back on and staying on the bike. This year, I have made the decision to ride! I am excited to be able to honor those I was not able to ride for in 2017. This year, I will be riding for Thelma O'Shields Lyles, affectionately known as LuLu, Donna Shoemaker, Rosene Lyles and Buck Page as well as their familes and everyone impacted by this horrific disease. By participating in A Ride to Remember, I'm taking on the physical challenge and personal adventure of cycling across South Carolina. I've also committed to raising awareness and funds to advance the care, support and research efforts of the Alzheimer’s Association®.
Currently, more than 5 million Americans have Alzheimer's disease and that number is expected to grow to as many as 16 million by 2050. Now is the time to come together to change the course of this disease!
Please support my efforts by making a donation. All funds raised benefit the Alzheimer's Association and its work to provide care support for all affected and advance research toward better treatments, prevention and, ultimately, a cure for Alzheimer's disease.
Thank you for joining the fight against Alzheimer’s! Your support means the world to me on this memorable and healing journey!
