A Ride We'll All Remember
By participating in A Ride to Remember, I'm taking on the Virtual Ride Challenge of cycling 252 miles during the month of July. I've also committed to raising awareness and funds to advance the care, support and research efforts of the Alzheimer’s Association®.
I will be riding in memory of my grandfather, Marvin Bettis, who meant the absolute world to me, yet suffered from dementia in the last phase of his life. I want to honor the man that I remember, the gentle, kind, and brilliant man that he was. I will also be riding in honor of my great aunt, Patty Lee, who always filled up any room with so much love and light. This is such a cruel disease and I am focused to help in the fight to find a cure for Alzheimer's.
Currently, more than 5 million Americans have Alzheimer's disease and that number is expected to grow to as many as 16 million by 2050. Now is the time to come together to change the course of this disease!
Please support my efforts by making a donation of any size. All funds raised benefit the Alzheimer's Association and its work to provide care support for all affected and advance research toward better treatments, prevention and, ultimately, a cure for Alzheimer's disease.
Thank you for joining the fight against Alzheimer’s! Your support means so much to me on this memorable journey!
