Fundraising for My Momma Josie
By participating in "A Ride to Remember," I had planned to take on the physical challenge and personal adventure of cycling the final leg of the ride across South Carolina, my first 100-mile (century) ride. I also committed to raising awareness and funds to advance the care, support and research efforts of the Alzheimer’s Association®.
i am still riding and fundraising, but the plan changed for all cyclists due to Covid-19, and I am now riding 252 miles total, "safe and solo," throughout the month of July. I want to honor my dear momma as she battles this devastating disease. #irideforjosie
Currently, more than five million Americans have Alzheimer's disease and that number is expected to grow to as many as sixteen million by 2050. Now is the time to come together to change the course of this disease!
Please support my efforts by making a donation. All funds raised benefit the Alzheimer's Association and its work to provide care support for all affected and advance research toward better treatments, prevention and, ultimately, a cure for Alzheimer's disease.
Thank you for joining the fight against Alzheimer’s! Your support means the world to me on this memorable journey!
