My Personal Fundraising Page
The only way I know how to lead, is to lead by example.
Please donate what you can. I have 350+ contacts on my social media, if each one of you can give just 1-5$ I will be well on my way to reaching my goals.
Fundraiser Goal: 1946$ as this is the year my father and uncle were born.
"A Shared Journey of Purpose:
Like many of us, I find myself drawn to the Alzheimer's Association community because of personal experience. Witnessing both my father and his identical twin brother grapple with this devastating disease, first with my uncle and then years later with my father, has left a profound impact.
This experience opened my eyes not only to the pain and challenges Alzheimer's brings, but also to the incredible strength and resilience it can inspire. It led me to the association, where I found a wealth of support, knowledge, and a shared passion for finding a cure.
However, my personal connection extends beyond family. As a Marine Corps veteran from the early days of the Iraq War, I was diagnosed with PTSD. Research suggests this increases my risk for Alzheimer's and combined with my moderate hearing loss from serving as a helicopter mechanic, it reinforces the urgency of this fight.
While I initially joined the Alzheimer's Association to support loved ones, the fight has taken on a new dimension. Now, it's about protecting my wife, children, and future generations from this disease.
Bringing Dedication and Experience:
Joining this team would allow me to combine my unwavering commitment to fighting Alzheimer's with my proven ability to lead, collaborate, and contribute to a cause that deeply resonates with me.
Together, we can build upon the foundation already laid and create a stronger, more impactful community."
Currently, more than 6 million Americans have Alzheimer's disease and that number is expected to grow to nearly 13 million by 2050. Our future is at risk and we must come together to change the course of this disease.
