My Personal Fundraising Page
Welcome to my fundraising page! I'm so happy you're here! I am so excited to be running the Philadelphia Marathon with the Alzheimer's Association Team this November! This cause is so important to me because my mom was diagnosed with early onset Alzheimer's Disease about 5 years ago and in just those five years the science world has made so many strides in research and medication. The diagnosis and progression of Alzheimer's disease affects every member of the family. My family has been so incredibly blessed with friends and family standing at our side.
I am looking forward to running this race for many reasons. The biggest is that my mom's first marathon was the Philly Marathon in 2009 and it was such a huge accomplishment for her. Watching her train so hard for that race and to run an AMAZING time (Boston qualifier!). I hope to have even half of her dedication, strength, perseverance, and discipline in my own race. Being able to run this marathon and support such an important cause to my family is an honor.
By participating in this event, I've committed to raising awareness and funds to advance the care, support and research efforts of the Alzheimer's Association\302\302®.
Currently, more than 6 million Americans have Alzheimer's disease and that number is expected to grow to nearly 13 million by 2050. Our future is at risk and we must come together to change the course of this disease.
Please support my efforts by making a donation. All funds raised benefit the Alzheimer's Association and its work to enhance care and support programs and advance research toward methods of treatment, prevention and, ultimately, a cure for Alzheimer's disease. Thank you for joining the fight against Alzheimer's disease!
