Ride to End ALZ extension deadline!
The Alzheimer's Association has extended the Ride to End Alzheimer’s deadline for donations until August 31st!!! I have continued riding as much as I can to fulfill my committment to this cause. I rode 218 miles in June, 210 miles in July and 85 miles so far in August.
Our lives are on hold due to the coronavirus, but awareness and research for Alzheimer’s disease needs to continue.
I know many may not have been working and times are difficult…considering these uncertainties I hope you are still able to donate $5 to this cause to keep Alzheimer’s research alive. I have almost reached my goal, so I hope you can help.
As many of you know, Alzheimer’s took my mother’s life. It was horrible to see such a slow, painful decline in her abilities eventually leading to her death in June ‘07. My aunt and her daughter also died from this disease; it can run in families. It is because of this that I have been active in this event for 12 years.
Many who have supported me in the past, and many who will support me this year know someone who has been affected with this horrible disease. Over 5 million Americans currently suffer from Alzheimer’s and this number will only grow.
I hope to be including you on my support team!
Stay safe and healthy. Gratefully, Ann
