In Loving Memory of Mommom
On April 19th, 2023, my beautiful Mommom, Joyce McCloughan, passed away after a long and heart-wrenching battle with Alzheimer's Disease. Prior to being diagnosed with Alzheimer's/Dementia, my Mommom was the most brilliant and intelligent woman I have ever known. After her diagnosis, I began to watch Alzheimer's Disease slowly steal her away in every type of capacity imaginable. Watching her lose her ability to remember, her 'spit fire' personality diminish and her ability to walk, talk and care for herself subside was one of the most difficult things I have ever experienced.
On November 18th, 2023, I will be running The Philadelphia Marathon (26.2 Miles) in loving memory of my Mommom. Although she will be unable to be physically present at the finish line, I know that she will be watching every second from a much more beautiful place; a place where she can walk, talk, laugh and dance once again.
Please support me as I run with Team End ALZ to benefit the Alzheimer's Association! All funds raised benefit the Alzheimer's Association and its work to enhance care/support programs and advance research towards methods of treatment, prevention and ultimately, a cure for Alzheimer's and Dementia. Thank you in advance for your support!
Updates and news on my training and fundraising!
