Jean's Gems -Doug's page
About 8 years ago my mother-in-law, Jean Cabana was diagnosed with Alzheimer's. I have wintness first hand the impact this disease has had not only on the individual but on the family who love and care for them as well. I have watched Mom's world get smaller and smaller as she is no longer able to do the things she once loved like travel, get out to lunch with Dad, go on her mother/daughter days with her girls and even just take care of herself and Dad. Our lives have all changed as well as we do all we can to be sure she is safe, healthy and happy for as long as possible. My wife, Denise and I are joining 5 other members of the family on a bike ride to raise funds to fight this disease. Will you join me by sponsoring me with a financial donation to help me reach my goal of raising $500? Any amount will be most appreciated!
By participating in the 2020 Ride to End Alz, I've committed to raising awareness and funds to advance the research efforts of the Alzheimer’s Association®.
And you can help me. These dollars are desperately needed- for the more than 5.8 million Americans living with Alzheimer's, their 16 million caregivers, and millions more who have lost a loved one to this disease.
Please support my efforts by making a donation. All funds raised benefit the Alzheimer's Association and their ground breaking momentum in the field of Alzheimer's research. 90% of the funds raised go toward the Association's efforts to discover methods of treatment and prevention for Alzheimer's and other dementias.
Help me cycle towards a world with our first survivor and donate today!
