Peggy's ride to end Alzheimer's
You guessed it. I’m fundraising for the upcoming Ride to End Alzheimer’s. I’ve committed to raise $750 by June 22nd!
My dear friend, Marty Conant, has been diagnosed with dementia. She’s fine now, although she has more than the usual forgetfulness that we all have. Marty has been a longtime friend and she means a lot to me. So this is what’s getting me off my butt and doing a 62-mile bike ride on June 22nd in Rye, NH.
Your donation will help the Alzheimer’s Association fund research. Ninety percent of the funds goes toward accelerating research and finding treatments and ways to prevent Alzheimer’s. The other 10% goes to supporting families in Massachusetts and NH affected by Alzheimer’s. Marty and her husband, David, now live in Arizona. I like to think that someone like me is fundraising in Arizona. BTW, David presided over Bill’s and my wedding all those years ago.
I hope you will join me in my crusade. If you would like to support me, please make your check payable to the Alzheimer’s Association and send to me at 34 Linden St., Arlington, MA 02476. You can also pledge online at Peggy’s fundraising page.
Thank you so much for your support.
