Brooke Robinson's Fundraising Page
This August I will be running in the 50th anniversary of the Falmouth Road Race on Team End ALZ. I've committed to raising awareness and funds to advance the care, support and research efforts of the Alzheimer’s Association®.
This cause is close to my heart as my family suffered the devastating loss of my beloved Nana, Ruth Robinson, earlier this year. She battled Alzheimer's courageously for over 10 years and inspired us all by choosing to remain positive everyday despite her diagnosis. Witnessing her decline and seeing how this disease took hold of her this past year was one of the most challenging and distressing things my family has had to go through. You hear from others how horrible it is to see a loved one battle Alzheimer's, but until you experience it yourself, it is hard to truly comprehend.
There have already been and will continue to be more individuals and families that will be affected by this unrelenting disease. Currently, more than 6 million Americans have Alzheimer's disease and that number is expected to grow to nearly 13 million by 2050.
Please support my efforts by making a donation. All funds raised benefit the Alzheimer's Association and its work to enhance care and support programs and advance research toward methods of treatment, prevention and, ultimately, a cure for Alzheimer's disease. Thank you for joining the fight against Alzheimer’s disease!
