My Personal Fundraising Page
Last year I went to a wake for an old family friend who passed from Alzheimers. It really got me thinking about my dad. Unfortunately for my story of getting involved with the Alzheimers Association the story of my father had to end way before it should have. But all the memories will never be forgotten by me or anyone that ever met him. Just about every minute of every day someone is diagnosed with Alzheimers. So its only a matter of time before everyone will have a friend or family member with this. There is no "we can fight this and beat it" or "get well soon". It IS going to take their life. Its just a matter of how long they and their family will suffer through it. Im here to ask you to help me raise funds and awareness by making a donation of any size so that one day so many people wont be taken from us by Alzheimers.
After losing my father and Jill's mother to Alzheimers I decided to get involved by helping raise funds and awareness about this disease. This is my 7th year fund raising and I hope we can break the record of over $4000 that all of you helped set a couple years ago. I will be riding the 100 miles once again so I ask you to help support me in my efforts to find a cure.
Currently, more than 5 million Americans have Alzheimer's disease and that number is expected to grow to as many as 16 million by 2050. Our future is at risk and we must come together to change the course of this disease.
Please support my efforts by making a donation. All funds raised benefit the Alzheimer's Association and its work to enhance care and support programs and advance research toward methods of treatment, prevention and, ultimately, a cure for Alzheimer's disease. Thank you for joining the fight against Alzheimer’s disease!
