Tony Attardo Riding to End Alzheimer's - June 22, 2019
The Ride to End Alzheimer’s – June 22, 2019
Alzheimer’s disease does not rest. It doesn't do a cool down at the end of a bicycle ride. Wealthy or poor, educated or illiterate, young or old, it doesn't discriminate. Alzheimer’s has no friends, no allies, no comrades. It is insidious, creeping into the lives of everyone, leaving a path of destruction and tragedy in its wake. It is this tragedy that we have experienced and one that we live with every day.
But out of tragedy can come inspiration. It can harvest acts, deeds, and abilities beyond one’s expectations.
On June 22nd, the with the help of the Attardo family, I will once again take to the road, and ride in honor and in memory of our mom, Josephine. Inspired by her kindness, never ending desire to do good things for others, gentle nature, and contagious humility, we will not rest until Alzheimer’s is a thing of the past.
Please join us by making the Ride to End Alzheimer’s your avenue to making a difference in the fight against Alzheimer’s.
