On October 8, we will be running the 2023 Chicago Marathon on the ALZ Stars team! As we train throughout the year, we’ll be raising money for the Alzheimer’s Association to support the fight to end Alzheimer’s disease.

We have decided to support the Alzheimer’s Association due to Sebastian’s connection to the disease. Two of Sebastian’s grandmas, Jill & Marie, have been diagnosed with Alzheimer’s. Grandma Jill is currently battling the early stages of the disease while Grandma Marie sadly passed away in March of 2019. Grandma Jill is widely known for her small stature and huge personality. She is one of the most adventurous and rebellious grandmas ever. Grandma Marie had the most kind soul and made the best white chocolate chip macadamia nut cookies.

Alzheimer’s is a cruel disease that does not discriminate and in our life has seemed to target our favorite ladies. We hope that by raising awareness and funds for Alzheimer’s, we can help decrease, or even better eliminate, the chances that any more loved ones are taken from us too soon.
