PVD OutRuns ALZ

We are from Providence Rhode Island (that's the PVD part of our team name) and honored to be running the Chicago Marathon to support the Alzheimer's Association. Karen's late husband Jake died from early onset Alzheimer's in 2016. He was diagnosed with the disease in his 40's. Jake was a super smart, athletic and kind individual and watching Alzheimer's take all of this from him was heartbreaking.

But Karen isn't the only one with a connection to this horrible disease. We all have our stories to tell. It's expensive; it takes away people we love while they are still alive; it breaks families - and there is still no cure.

And that's why we run. Please support our efforts to raise money to support those with the illness and their caregivers, and to support research to find a cure.

Thank you for sharing your stories. And for your generosity. Working together, maybe we won't have to raise money next year!
