My Personal Fundraising Page
To celebrate my 30th year of existence and my 3rd marathon (I'm running my second Chicago marathon this October - yay!), I have decided to run for a bigger purpose rather than just running for myself [the medal, the excitement (and pain!) and health benefits that come along with it :)]. I have decided to start this fundraising page to support Alzheimers, families and their loved ones who have been affected by it too. This cause is important to me because Alzheimer's has affected me and my loved ones personally. My grandfather "lolo" (I used to be a lolo's girl) passed away more than five years ago from the disease.
By participating in this event, I've committed to raising awareness and funds to advance the care, support and research efforts of the Alzheimer’s Association®.
Currently, more than 6 million Americans have Alzheimer's disease and that number is expected to grow to nearly 13 million by 2050. Our future is at risk and we must come together to change the course of this disease.
Please support my efforts by making a donation. All funds raised benefit the Alzheimer's Association and its work to enhance care and support programs and advance research toward methods of treatment, prevention and, ultimately, a cure for Alzheimer's disease. Thank you for joining the fight against Alzheimer’s disease!
A gift of any amount would mean the world to me, but if you can't - your presence, cheer and support during my marathon would also do. :) Thank you so much! <3
