2023 Chicago Marathon Fundraiser for Alzheimer's Association

By participating in this event, I've committed to raising awareness and funds to advance the care, support and research efforts of the Alzheimer’s Association®.
More than 6 million Americans have Alzheimer's disease and that number is expected to grow to nearly 13 million by 2050. Our future is at risk and we must come together to change the course of this disease.
Currently, there are six ladies in my circle of friends, family and acquaintances who are suffering with both Alzheimer's disease and dementia. I run in honor of them, to help them keep up their fight as researchers try to find a cure, and in memory of them to show that they have not been forgotten.
These ladies had productive and successful lives prior to receiving a diagnosis of Alzheimer's. The disease has robbed them of living full lives with their families. I run in honor of Kathy B., Kathryn J., Posey K., Sharon N., and Doris S.; and in loving memory of Darlene S. I'm helping to take up the fight to find a cure so that others will benefit from the research done now. With your help we can win this battle.
Please support my efforts by making a donation. All funds raised benefit the Alzheimer's Association and its work to enhance care and support programs and advance research toward methods of treatment, prevention and, ultimately, a cure for Alzheimer's disease. Thank you for joining the fight against Alzheimer’s disease!
