Running in Memory of Aunt Kathie - Jessica Kibblewhite's ALZ Run
Dear Friends and Family,
At the end of 2020, we lost an amazing and beautiful person to Alzheimer's disease. Aunt Kathie, Kathie Henderson, passed away on December 29th, 2020 due to complications from Alzheimer's. Aunt Kathie lived a life of great kindness, love, and faith. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, godmother to Sam and friend to many. In the 8 years that I knew Aunt Kathie, she always had a smile on her face and was a deeply kind and gentle person. She loved her family very much.
This year, I am running the Chicago Marathon in loving memory of Aunt Kathie, and to help raise awareness and funds to advance the care, support, and research efforts of the Alzheimer’s Association.
Aunt Kathie passed away from early-onset Alzheimer's at the age of 64. Currently, more than 5 million Americans have Alzheimer's disease and that number is expected to grow to as many as 16 million by 2050. We must come together to help change the course of this terrible disease.
Please support my efforts by making a donation if you are able —any size contribution is greatly appreciated and will help my goal of $1950.
All funds raised benefit the Alzheimer's Association and its work to enhance care and support programs and advance research toward methods of treatment, prevention and, ultimately, a cure for Alzheimer's disease.
Thank you for joining our fight against Alzheimer’s disease!
Much love and appreciation,
