My Personal Fundraising Page
By participating in this marathon for my 40th Birthday, I've committed to raising awareness and funds to advance the care, support and research efforts of the Alzheimer’s Association®. I am doing this in memory of my father Joseph Linwick, who lost the battle to Dementia in June of 2020. I will run in honor of him and all those other men and women who have fought the battle and lost or who are currently fighting the battle of Alzheimer's and Dementia. It is an awful disease for those with it, and the families impacted by it.
Currently, more than 6 million Americans have Alzheimer's disease and that number is expected to grow to nearly 13 million by 2050. Our future and our children's futures are at risk and we must come together to change the course of this disease.
Please support my efforts by making a donation in honor of my dad, and to help me push on. All funds raised benefit the Alzheimer's Association and its work to enhance care and support programs and advance research toward methods of treatment, prevention and, ultimately, a cure for Alzheimer's disease. Thank you for joining the fight against Alzheimer’s disease! I will remember you as I run, and you will give me the strength to run the extra miles!
