Alyssa's Personal Fundraising Page
By participating in the 2020 Chicago Marathon, I've committed to raising awareness and funds for a cause that is very close to my heart.
This disease has affected several close members of my family, including my father who was diagnosed with Early-onset Alzheimer's back in April of 2019. Your contributions bring us one step closer to not only finding a cure, but also helping families like mine cope with the everyday struggles of the disease, and educating the public on a disease that so few people know much about.
Currently, more than 5 million Americans have Alzheimer's disease and that number is expected to grow to as many as 16 million by 2050. Our future is at risk and we must come together to change the course of this disease.
All funds raised benefit the Alzheimer's Association and its work to enhance care and support programs and advance research toward methods of treatment, prevention and, ultimately, a cure for Alzheimer's disease. Thank you for joining the fight against Alzheimer’s disease!
