Bethany's 2023 Chicago Marathon ALZ Stars Fundraising Page
Anyone whose life has been touched by Alzheimer's will understand why I am determined to raise money to help fund better resources, treatments, and eventually a cure for those affected by this horrible disease.
I have lost my grammie, my grandpa, my great aunt Marj, and my great uncle George to Alzheimer's.
I have watched the way the progression of the disease frustrated and devastated those who cared for and about those we've loved and lost.
I have witnessed the pain and struggles of too many friends whose families can tell similar stories of heartache and loss.
I have worried endlessly over the futures of my parents, my sibling and cousins, myself, my children, and the generations to come.
By participating in the 2023 Chicago Marathon as a charity runner for ALZ Stars, I've committed to raising awareness and funds to advance the care, support and research efforts of the Alzheimer’s Association®.
Currently, more than 6 million Americans have Alzheimer's disease and that number is expected to grow to nearly 13 million by 2050. Our future is at risk and we must come together to change the course of this disease.
Please support my efforts by making a donation. All funds raised benefit the Alzheimer's Association and its work to enhance care and support programs and advance research toward methods of treatment, prevention and, ultimately, a cure for Alzheimer's disease. Thank you for joining the fight against Alzheimer’s disease!
